In the early 90’s when Nintendo and Sega ruled the universe and watching Beverly Hills 90210 wasn’t a crime yet, the 13 year old Jowan noticed there was something even bigger happening; House Music. He spent all his savings on Turntables and Vinyl, and a new Dutch Dj is born.
After house developed itself in to more different styles including Trance music, Jowan knew what he liked most. After some fine-tuning and defining his own style he entered a Trance Energy Dj contest and won! His first major gig at Trance Energy 2000, a dream come true. Later on Impulz, Massive, Sensation Black, Defqon and mainstage at the Zurich Street Parade followed.
Besides dj-ing Jowan works for Freaky Music as an A&R Manager for labels such as; Silicon, Fusion, Superplastik, SteadyBeat and Seventh Sense. Based in Eindhoven Freaky Music is a leading record company for Hardstyle and Trance music and that’s where Jowan releases his own singles such as “Thadderack, PT-78, Cab 10 and many more”.
PT-78 got played by the big guys such as Judge Jules, Marcel Woods and Cosmic Gate, and was put on a Ministry of Sound compilation.
At the end of 2006 Jowan flew to Australia where he did a tour and performed in several clubs and festivals, this being one of his highlights triggers and inspires Jowan to put the pedal even closer to the metal. Keep an eye out for this tall dutchy!
